Bryant University. The Character of Success

About Modern Languages Study-Abroad Programs

The Study Abroad Office has partner agreements with Academic Programs International (API), Arcadia University, the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), and International Studies Abroad (ISA) in a number of Spanish-speaking countries. These partner programs provide support to the University, the students and their families. Bryant students may study Spanish for a summer, semester, or year through partner programs in Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru and Spain.

For the Chinese program, the partner programs include Alliance, CIEE, and IES. Chinese students at Bryant may study Chinese for a summer or a semester or both through these partnership programs in Beijing, Shanghai, and Xi’an, China.

Students can also study French language, literature, international affairs, business, history, arts, gastronomy, and culture in a wide variety of Francophone countries, (France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Senegal to name a few) through the university’s partnership agreements with the IAU (Institute for American Universities), API, Arcadia University, CIEE, and ISA.  Students can take part in full-immersion program for the semester or summer in order to fully experience daily life in a Francophone environment.

There are numerous cities in Italy for students interested in Italian studies. These study abroad opportunities consist of full-immersion semester programs and summer courses.  The Sophomore International Experience Italy course is offered to sophomores at the end of May.

Experiencing life in another country gives students a priceless opportunity to broaden their worldview, grow as an individual, as well as master a foreign language.

Bryant students can study abroad as early as the summer after their freshman year and can pursue a full semester abroad as early as the spring of their sophomore year. Most students study one semester abroad in their junior year. International Business students are encouraged to study abroad in the fall of their junior year. Bryant's Sophomore International Experience offers a course of study in Panama and Costa Rica during the January Wintersession.
